Topological optical parametric oscillation

Abstract Topological insulators possess protected boundary states which are robust against disorders and have immense implications in both fermionic bosonic systems. Harnessing these topological effects nonequilibrium scenarios is highly desirable has led to the development of lasers. The topologically usually lie within bulk bandgap, selectively exciting them without inducing instability modes systems challenging. Here, we consider parametrically driven nonlinear resonator arrays that complex eigenvalues only edge spite uniform pumping. We show parametric oscillation occurs one two dimensional as well corner a higher order insulator system. Furthermore, demonstrate squeezing dynamics below threshold, where quantum properties certain disorders. Our work sheds light on weakly out-of-equilibrium reveals their intriguing behavior regime.
